Sreesree Thakur Anukulchandra was born on 14 September 1888 (30 Bhadra 1295) in the village of Himaitpur, Pabna. Here, on the banks of the Padma, he began the Satsang movement — a living fellowship for the growth and wellbeing of every human being.
Today the Himaitpur Ashram remains a beacon for devotees across Bangladesh and beyond: a place of daily prayer, seva, learning and joyful gathering in the spirit of “Being and Becoming”.
